HK Express is continuing to add to its services to Japan's Okinawa Prefecture with the return of its seasonal service to Miyako (Shimojishima) this summer.
From June 27 to October 24, HK Express will operate four weekly flights (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) between Hong Kong and Shimojishima Airport
Located on Miyako island southwest of Okinawa, the main attractions on the island include diving and its beaches. The Miyako islands – including both Miyako and Shimojishima – are served by both Miyako Airport and Shimojishima Airport.
With the addition of the seasonal service to Shimojishima, HK Express will offer flights to three gateways to Okinawa including Naha and Ishigaki.
Shimojishima will be HK Express' 12thdestination in Japan, where it currently operates flights to Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Hiroshima, Takamatsu, Kagoshima, Sendai, and Okinawa. The airline previously announced it will resume services to Ishigaki with daily flights on April 3.
